Hi I'm Kevin

I ran track and cross country, and was a theater tech student in high school. I am the youngest of four and a twin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah and I have loved to run since I was in high school and Track & Field was a major part of my life in high school. I even went to the national Great Southwest Track Meet my junior and senior years. I went to a semester of school at UVU before now. I am about to leave on my mission in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the LDS church seems to be a lot different than converting to it. It almost seems indoctrinated into you because, frankly, it IS true. However, once you get old enough you start wondering about things and questioning things as well. Eventually I knew I was deciding whether to REALLY accept everything about the church or to just live faithless in a life surrounded by it. Through prayer and faith (and acting on that faith) I came to know that this church is true and that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God, and that everything about this church is true and perfect, because Christ is at the head of it. I'm so grateful for the blessings I have of having always been taught the truth, and of knowing to pray to know if it is true.

How I live my faith

In Track and Cross Country in high school, all of my teammates always loved going to the temple together all of the time. I have found so many parallels between track and the Gospel, and I continue to learn about the Gospel through what I know from that. I am a primary teacher in my ward for the five year olds. They're definitely a little much sometimes, but I love them and teaching them the Gospel is a wonderful experience.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kevin
First of all, because we believe we have been commanded to by God. However, we also believe we have the fullness of God's church and authority today. There is so much happiness and progression involved that we want everyone to know about it and to be a part of it. Just look at how much the church has grown since it was restored in the 1800s through Joseph Smith. We want everyone to know and be a part of this wonderful, happy gospel! Show more Show less
