Hi I'm Ryan

I am currently a missionary in the Georgia Atlanta Mission. I play the ukulele. I envy super heros. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a movie fanatic! I love everything about em! I don't know why people say you'll never learn anything from the TV cause that's where all my knowledge comes from. If it wasn't for Nemo I wouldn't understand how important my family was. If Frodo never accepted the quest to Mount Doom I'd never understand my own courage. And if I didn't have Kirk and Spock as my guides, I'd never understand what true friendship really is. Movies are my passion and my love. When I'm not wrapped up in a movie or outdoors hiking, long boarding or playin softball; I'll be out tryin to meet new people. People interest me. I find myself getting into trouble for asking to many questions just because my heart desires to know so much about an other human creature. I'll be any ones friend really. I just need to meet em first! Friends and family are a big deal to me. I of course learn that more and more each day but it's them I look towards and look up to. I don't think I've ever had a better friend than my own mother, never admired some one's integrity more than my grandpa's, and my father is a bigger hero to me than all the James Bonds and Ninja Turtles combined. I look forward to being a husband and father. Many people may be lookin forward to that wedding day or the white picket fence, which I am too but it's just so much more. I love the commitment of providing, protecting and promising to care and support the ones I love. I look forward to an eternal family with in the walls of the Lord's House.

Why I am a Mormon

Through out my life I have toed the line which is to never be crossed in about every scenario. I grew up in this faith knowing what to do and what not to do. What was expected of me and what would get me in to trouble. I looked for everything that I thought could bring me happiness all while I kept one foot in but one foot out or this gospel. After toeing that line it got easier and easier to inch across it until before I knew it I was far over and I was stretching to keep my head above water. I was lost. I was in way over my head. I was stuck going no where in life, and above all I wasn't happy. At the lowest and darkest and after tryin every thing but this gospel, I completely broke down and asked God for help. In that moment God didn't become some dude in the sky telling me I can't do what I want. He became my Father in Heaven and Christ became the hope I never really had in life. In time my struggles were over come through the mercies of family, friends and faith. I know God is there for me and that He is my Father who loves me. He loves me enough to send His willing Son, Jesus Christ to understand and take upon my pains and sicknesses. I know what the Bible and Book of Mormon teach me is true and that is Christ lives today and that through faith and repentance on His name, I and every one else can live after this life with our Father in Heaven. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find lasting happiness and meaning in this life. I know that that gospel has been restored to its fullness today and it resides in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It shows that God is too invested in me to just give up on me when He sent His Son to die for my benefit and to have special witnesses, even a living prophet today, testify of that truth. I know all of this because I have felt the love in my heart confirm it. Love like that can only come by the power of the Holy Ghost. That's the peace I've always looked for, and I am forever grateful.

How I live my faith

I am serving in the Georgia, Atlanta Mission at the moment and I'm loving every minute of it! The love of the Savior should be felt by every one to rescue them from the bitterness of life. I want to find any one and every one so Christ can give them an escape from misery the same way he did for me, and continues to do. I like to feel that I have a general love for every one.Charity is the answer. The more I've learned to serve others the more my problems and selfish desires fade away, which is how Christ lived. I wanna strive to understand His life and His character so I may mirror even a shred of who He is.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The founder of the Church of Jesus Christ was and is none other than Jesus Christ Himself. When Christ was here on the earth He established His doctrine and the organization on how we, His followers can live by it and be blessed. After He left His authority resided in the 12 Apostles who carried out the organization and work to help the ones who have faith in Christ stay strong by keeping His doctrine sound, and also by teaching others how they can have faith in Jesus Christ and the power of His Atonement. That authority was lost when people rejected and rebelled. It was then brought back by yet again another prophet, Joseph Smith who saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. He was called to that the organization that Christ originally formed and was restored through him. Making it the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Show more Show less
