Hi I'm Jeff Rollins

I live in Salt Lake City with my wife and daughter. We have a son who is married and a son serving a mission in Detroit.

About Me

I lost my father at the age of 17. I was lucky enough to have known him longer than anyone in our family other than my mom. The example of how he lived his life and treated others has always been a part of me. I have tried to spend as much time as possible loving and supporting all of my children. It has paid off in some of the greatest blessings anyone could have in their life. We enjoy each others company and the activities we share. Whether it be skiing, hiking, camping or playing games it is always better when the family is together. Personally I enjoy the outdoors. Getting away from all the "noise" that drowns out my thoughts at times is refreshing. Nothing is better than hitting the top of the chair lift at Alta and looking around at the beauty of the earth I live on. The peace and solitude is also something that many don't get to experience. The same can be said when we jeep together as a family in Moab. Hearing absolutely nothing can put your place on this earth in perspective....very humbling. I also like to sing, play the guitar and read. I enjoy biographies and history books. I don't spend much time with Sports anymore. It has lost a lot of its importance as I have tried to focus on things that are lasting. I do have time for BYU football though. Go Cougars! I have been blessed to be married to my best friend for the past 26 years. She has been my biggest support and continues to bless my life every day. I love you Cindy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I was raised Mormon and taught the principles of the Gospel in my early childhood and in to my teenage years. At the age of 19 I served a mission to Osaka, Japan. During this time I had to find answers to some of my own questions. I am glad that I did and that the examples and teachings I had received up to that time only reinforced what I found out for myself. If you have a desire, faith that you can know, and then act on both you too can find the peace and happiness the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings.

How I live my faith

I love my family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so blessed to have the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation in my life. Through the atonement of our Savior we can all return to live with him some day. I try to be the best example I can to my family and provide them the love and support they need as they make their way through each day. I enjoy the peace and comfort the Gospel gives me as I approach life's challenges and the direction it gives me as I struggle to become a better husband, father and friend.
