I am from From Murray Utah I am serving my mission in Bogota Colombia.

About Me

My name is Tyler, I have two wonderful parents Mauna and Cory who are also members. I love to play sports almost any sport will do but my favorites are Track & Field and Football. Sports are my life I have always played a sport Football was my favorite for a long time until I started Track. I eventually went on to win state in the 100m in high school my senior year I absolutely love running and I have went on to collegiate Track & Field at Utah Valley University on scholarship, but I have decided to serve mission before I continue Track. I was recently called to serve in Bogota Colombia. I am excited to serve the people of Colombia I expect to learn so much from them and my mission president.

Why I am a Mormon

I have seen many of the lords great works and blessings happen but none greater than what happened to my family in the summer of 2011. My family was going to go camping and four wheeling for the weekend which is one of our favorite activities to do as a family. My father went up to the campsite to acquire a spot for us to stay for the weekend. When my father had everything set up he went on the ATV to find a phone signal to lets us know he made it there safely but during the process he rolled his ATV and it landed on top of him leaving him trapped. we did not receive a call that night and we became worried. The next day we received a call from a stranger saying they found my father. he ended up being trapper over 18 hours. When he was admitted to the hospital his kidneys began to fail and and it was uncertain if he would lose his legs let alone survive the week. Members from my family came in and gave him a blessing, you could feel the spirit feel the room with a sense of calm right then I knew my father would make it through this. within hours of the blessing my father came off the ventilator after a month he began to walk. My father is now back to his old self, if it wasn't for the amazing powers of the priesthood he may not be around right now.

How I live my faith

I have been a member my whole life and I have had many callings. I enjoy home teaching the members in my ward and going to the temple often with friends and family. The Temple is a wonderful place for me its is such a blessing to have the temples surround the valley I live in. I recently received a calling to serve my Mission in Bogota Colombia I will Leave March 27th 2013 and serve for a period of 2 years there. I am very excited to serve such a great calling in such a wonderful place I already know i will love it.
