Hi I'm Collin

I´m a convert. I play sports. I´m a hunter. I love the outdoors and also video games. I´m a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Collin, I love to play sports! I play pretty much everything, or have at least tried it. I like golf, swimming, diving, riding motorcycles and pretty much all of the other sports too, but my one true love is volleyball! I love spending time with my friends and watching movies, going out, staying in, honestly im down for whatever! I love my video games too, probably have spent too much time on them but I like them!! Anything competative I like! I dont necessarily have the closest family but when we get together and we arent fighting its awesome!!! I spend most of my time with my dad, he is one of my best friends, even though he is 69 years old!!! He is still a kid just like me and I dont intend to change that at all! My dad and I do everything together and he has taught me how to play every sport I know except for volleyball, maybe thats why I am better at volleyball than the rest of the sports.... haha. No I love spending time with him and with my other family members as well, when they are willing to spend time with me :) Ever since I can remember I have loved to go fast, I have a motorcycle that I love like crazy!!! And she goes dang fast haha. Skiing at high speeds, skydiving, honestly anything fast I like! Unless it involves spinning, then I throw up. haha

Why I am a Mormon

I always had a lot of friends that were mormon growing up, most of my friends were mormon actually but I wasnt. My friend Niel would invite me to sometimes to stay the night at his house on a saturday night and there was always a rule that came with staying the night at his house on saturday night... I had to go to church with them in the morning haha. So every once in awhile I would go to church and honestly it didnt mean anything to me, I was a kid and I just wanted to spend time with my best friend. I didnt really understand anything that we did there. One day one of my friends gave me a book of mormon with her testimony inside, and I read the testimony thats she had writen and I decided that I wanted to talk to the missionaries. I called my friend Niel and I told him that I wanted to talk to the missionaries and hear what they have to say. Well they came! I had rejected the missionaries a couple times before, they would come sometimes and I would make up and excuse but this time I accepted. And it changed my life forever. I am mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. Thats all that I need to know. I know that everything else in the church is true and correct and perfect because the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

Before I got baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints I didnt have a faith. Yep, didnt really believe anything, my parents didnt teach me any of the pinciples, I knew who Jesus was but he was just like a magician or something to me. And honestly religion and faith didnt really mean anything to me at all, but now after I have learned about faith, Jesus Christ and his atonement, I know its true. I know that because I have prayed about the book of momon and received an answer that it is true. I received this answer from God through the Holy Ghost. No angel appeared to me and told me these things, I have felt them. Faith is believing in something that you know to be true although you cannot see it, and then acting on that belief. I act on what I believe to be true. No I'm not perfect and nor will I be in this life, I make mistakes and usually I recognize that I made one right away and feel bad, but though believing in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice I can receive fogiveness for the things that I have done that are not in allignment with God's will. And then I can change.
