Hi I'm Samantha Sturtevant

I am a missionary serving people in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzigovenia, Serbia, and Montenegro. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am currently a missionary for the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am very athletic and I will play any sport. However, my favorite sport is volleyball. I started playing in 6th grade, and I haven't stopped playing since. I am going to college and majoring in exercise physiology so that I can become a physical therapist. The thing I want to be most is a stay at home mom. I grew up with my mom being gone for 12 hours or more a day. I don't have much memory of being with her as a child. She retired when she had my little sister when I was 12. It was such a blessing to have my mom at home. She became my best friend. The reason I want to be at home with my children is so they can always remember me being in their life. Not just remembering being dropped of at baby sitters houses at 4am. I want to be the mom that makes them breakfast every morning, and drops them off, and picks them up from school. I want to make it to every game, concert, etc. that they have. I always want to be a best friend to the children I will have, and always be dependable.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is because I could not be happier if I was anything else. This gospel has brought joy into my life. I know who I am, why I am here, and where I am going. Which I believe is one of the most important thing to know on this earth. The gospel has given me hope. It has shown me how I can be the best person I can be. This gospel has taught me about my Savior, Jesus Christ. How He gave his life for me that I might be forgiven and return to my Heavenly Father someday. I know this church is true. I know that this life isn't easy, but having Christ in my life has made it easier.

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving the people in the North Adriatic Region. This region is in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. I teach people the gospel of Jesus Christ. I teach people how they can build a strong relationship with their Savior and Heavenly Father, through reading the Book of Mormon, prayer, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I am so grateful for this opportunity in my life to teach others about the Savior. To bring them peace and joy in their lives. So that they know where they came from, why they are here, and where they are going.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Samantha Sturtevant
We believe that our bodies are sacred and we need to take care of them. Anything that is not healthy we should not participate in. Also, when we are drinking and smoking it keeps the Holy Ghost from us. We need to have the Holy Ghost with us that we can be guided and comforted. Show more Show less
