Hi I'm Nancy Norr Curtis

I'm a Mormon who grew up on a dairy farm in Deweyville, Utah.

About Me

I am the mother of six children, four daughters and two sons, who now all have families of their own. This has been my primary focus during my life. I worked at a local bank for 24 years and enjoyed the association of many good friends in that occupation. I am a colon cancer survivor of 5 years (as of 2014) and recognize the Lord's hand in my life in that experience. I love to sew, particularly quilting; I play the piano and love music. My favorite pastime is reading--particularly historical novels--where I can learn about other cultures and times. I also like mysteries that make my mind think. I try to learn something new every day.

Why I am a Mormon

My Mormon heritage began with ancestors who worked with the earliest Latter-day Saint leaders. My own testimony grows as I study and learn in the weekly activities of the Church. Most of my spiritual experiences have happened as life's challenges have brought me closer to the Savior. I have had personal witness from the Holy Ghost to the restoration of the gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith, the redeeming and empowering Atonement of my Savior Jesus Christ, and the blessings of the priesthood. The gospel principles guide my life and help me make good choices. I know that we have continuing revelation to meet the needs of the people on the earth through current prophets and apostles. The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me a better person and has helped me face trials with faith.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have enjoyed giving service to young children, teenagers and the women of the Church. My husband & I have also participated in community projects. We taught our children to love God and His Son, Jesus Christ and to love all people. My husband and I decided in our early married life that we would always serve our Heavenly Father and keep our temple covenants. We served a full-time mission in 2012-2013 in the Atlanta Georgia Mission at the Buchanan Branch and hold those memories and friends as cherished experiences. We are currently serving as mission president an wife in the Idaho Twin Falls Mission.
