Hi I'm Ashley

I love to hike, I love to help, I love to cook, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm going to college to hopefully become a nurse. I love to help as many people as I can in any way I can. My favorite hobby in the world is to hike. I backpacked the Tetons Mountains in Wyoming when I was 16. I was on the swim team for all four years of high school and was a goalie for my lacrosse team during my junior and senior years. I also love to cook delicious foods :) My homemade cheesecake is famous throughout my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church gives me a sense of self worth and purpose. I know that God loves me and cares about my life. I know that He knows exactly how to help me whenever I need help. He has blessed me with an incredible family and ward that support me and make me feel welcome and cared about. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about the truthfulness of it. The Book of Mormon changed my life. I am much happier, I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for my life. My love for Christ has become stronger every time I read it. I have learned so many things from the words that have been written in this true scripture. I know that it has been translated through the power of God by Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and the true word of God. I also believe the Holy Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. I have found beauty and a love for God and my Savior Jesus Christ through studying this holy scripture. I know for myself that it is true. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father and I look forward to the day that I can live with them again and be surrounded by their grace and eternal love. Being a Mormon and living the religion makes me sure that this is possible.

How I live my faith

I love my ward, it feels like they're an extension of my family. I served as a Family Home Evening leader before I went to college and I am given the opportunity to visit teach some wonderful women in my ward. Having the calling of a visiting teacher has given me tons of opportunities to become good friends with many of the women in my ward. This also gives me more chances to serve others, which I love. I was called to serve a full-time mission in Indianapolis Indiana. I am so blessed to be able to serve as a full time missionary, it has given me a chance to live in the attitude of service every single day by forgetting myself and helping others. It's definitely not easy being a missionary, but the lessons I learn from my mission I know I will never forget because they have made me a better person. Being a Mormon has never hindered my life. I live a full and happy life and I love every experience I've had and I am grateful for every trial I've faced because these things have made me stronger and have a greater love and appreciation for my Heavenly Father and His son, my savior, Jesus Christ.
