Hi I'm Spencer H

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I moved to Utah at age 13 and am now serving a mission in Long Beach, CA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school in 2012. I love drawing! Drawing is one of my passions and I do it as often as I can. I play soccer as well which is also another one of my passions. I enjoy working out. On the other side of that spectrum I love comic books, video games, anything that brings out the nerd within me. I grew up on the North Shore of Oahu until I was 13 years old, when my family moved to a small town in Utah. Some would think that was probably a hard change, but I loved it. Utah is my favorite place in the world! But Hawaii is always a good place to visit. Shortly after we moved to Utah, my dad passed away. That was hard. As a 14 year old boy, that was a life changing event. But I was able to pull through and move on with life, with an appreciation for my family. I went to high school until I graduated and am now serving the Lord on a mission. I love it out here. There is nothing more fulfilling than feeling the Lord's love as I speak to His children about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Life is always good, and happiness is always a choice. And I choose to be happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the simple truths of the Church. I have felt, in my heart - by the power of the Holy Ghost - that the Book of Mormon is true. Since the Book of Mormon is true, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints IS His Church. I can honestly testify of the happiness it brings to my life and of the healing effects of the Atonement on individuals and families. The fulfillment that follows abiding by the teachings of the Church brings balance to my life, which, as a young adult, is hard to find anywhere else. My happiness is a testament of the truthfulness of this gospel. I know that the resulting happiness that the teachings of the Church brings as the true Church of Christ on the Earth cannot be found anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in Long Beach, CA. For two years, I am serving the Lord and His children, all day and all night. That is my only focus each and every day, and I love it. I am able to share my testimony with others and bring them closer to Jesus Christ, not only by sharing a special message but by serving them as well.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

I feel that this question addresses a topic that hits close to home for me. My father passed away when I was fourteen years old. Which is probably one of the hardest times for someone to lose one of their parents. But I did. The trials that resulted from his untimely death were extremely trying, yet I was able to move forward and continue with my life because of the things I had been taught from my youth. Of course it was hard, but the teachings of the gospel kept me strong; emotionally and spiritually. I know that I will see my father again because my family was sealed for all time and eternity, which has been a huge strength to me. Show more Show less
