Hi I'm Will Abel

im a Mormon

About Me

I graduated from Ashland highschool in 2012, and worked full time to pay for a mission myself. I am about to serve in the Mozambique Maputo African mission for 2 years, and my leave date is on may 15. I have a great family who love and honor the church, serve faithfully in their callings, and center the gospel in everything they do. They set a great example to me and help me to realize how extremely blessed I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and for a lot of my childhood I just did whatever my family did. I attended sacrament, got baptized and went to primary because of obedience not because i had a personal testimony. There came a point that i wondered if the church we invested so much time to was even true. I was attending Sunday school where the plan of salvation was being discussed when afterwards the teacher asked a man (who was not a member at the time) if he believed what had been shared was true. We went quiet and were silent for a little while while he thought. He finally answered that he questioned everything and was doubtful of the church and the plan of salvation. The teacher got emotional and stated that if there was anything we took away from that class he hoped it would be that we question everything and learn the truth of everything for ourselves. That our testimonies were not relied upon our teachers, family members, and friends - that we earned our testimonies and knowledge through hard work and personal prayer. The spirit in the room was thick and could not be ignored, no matter how cool we thought we were we could never deny what we felt there. That man earned for himself a testimony of HIS own and today is a loyal member of the church. I would like to bare MY testimony that i have earned through hard work and faith that this is the true church. The time and work I put into the church is a great investment in my life here on earth and in my life after. i know that these things our true in the name of Jesus Christ Amen

How I live my faith

I go to the Colfax singles ward. I am a ward missionary and the sacrament manager. I try to seek out people who need the gospel in their lives, and i bring, set up, bless and clean the sacrament every Sunday. I'm grateful to be worthy to be able to bless the sacrament on Sundays, and represent the savior. I witness his blessings I receive for being worthy to preform his ordinance.

Fun. Im a lot happier then most people, and have more self control and awareness then most. following the "rules" can seem strict but its why we're called the "mor-mans" you gotta be tough. Its definatly worth it. Show more Show less
