Hi I'm Wendy Hull

I am a wife, a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 13 and counting.

About Me

I have been married to my high school sweetheart and best friend for 41 years. Together we have 4 amazing kids and I include each of their wonderful spouses and 14 terrific grandchildren and counting. Those 23 people are the most important part of my world. I enjoy hiking, reading, cooking, traveling but mostly I love being with my family. We love house boating, camping at the beach, dirt bike riding in the desert, skiing/snow boarding and going to dude ranches throughout the country together. We love being active in the great outdoors. The best part is knowing we all have the same goals, values and devotion to God, family and our country.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. Although I have been a member all my life I have come to my own conversion through much pondering. I have studied and I have prayed and I have felt the Spirit of the Holy Ghost speak truth to my heart. I have tried to live what I believe. I still have days I get upset, feel down or make mistakes but through my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in my Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness I can have hope and peace. I can be forgiven and begin each day again. I know I have a Heavenly Father who knows me and loves me. I feel His love every day. I see evidence of that love everywhere. He knows my weaknesses and my sorrows, my hopes and heart. He hears my prayers. He is real. I hope I can show my love to Him by serving my fellowman and by keeping His commandments all the days of my life. How grateful I am for this faith, for my belief in who I am and what my purpose is. I know He has a plan for each of His children. He knows and loves each one of us.

How I live my faith

I try to live each day in a positive way. I try to see who might need something that day. Even something as simple as a smile or a text or dropping by to lend a hand. One of the great things I am involved in right now is Family History and genealogy. I love finding my ancestors, filling in the missing pieces and adding correct sources, photos, stories about my people. I believe we are all linked together as one huge family, the family of man. There is so much information through familysearch.org that anyone can use to find their family members. I volunteer at a Family History Center. These centers are located all over the country and can be found by going onto lds.org or call information for an LDS Family History Center near you. These centers have free resources to the general public and have trained staff available to help. Recently my husband and I have decided to serve a full time mission. We are going to serve in the Zambia Lusaka Mission. As hard as it will be to leave our family for 18 months I know it will be a learning, growing experience for us as we serve the Lord in Africa. I look forward to meeting, serving and loving the people in Zambia.
