Hi I'm Kyanne Spendlove

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I play volleyball and love photography. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy camping, hunting and fishing. My family and I love to play cards and board games. I played volleyball for 5 years and it still remains as my most favorite sport. I attended Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am the the second oldest of 5 children. I love photography and always try to capture the small precious moments of life. I want to become a labor and delivery nurse and one day serve a couples mission and do humanitarian aid projects in other countries.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS Church but I still had to gain my own testimony. I always did what my parents expected me to do in the church and one day, I decided that wasn't enough. My personal conversion started years ago, but I think the moment where I truly converted was during my 3rd year of EFY. I had constantly struggled with knowing if I am a daughter of God or not. People always bore testimony of how they knew and it sounded right but I wanted to know for myself. I remember times following that EFY week where I was at my low points in life and felt alone and I pled with my Father for an answer. I would pour out my whole heart to Him. I would pray for hours at a time telling him my thoughts, concerns, problems, trials and desires of my heart out loud. I already knew God knew all things, but actually taking the time to talk with Him really helped. I have felt the spirit bare witness to me of God's love for me. I know that this gospel is true. There have been so many miracles and blessings in my life that have only strengthened my understanding and faith in the church. I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross for us and suffered for my sins because He loves me and he cares about me. I know that Christ is always there and will comfort us in our times of trial and when we are at our rock bottom. He is always there and if we have faith in Him, He will bless us and allow for so many miracles to happen in our lives and will give us the desires of our hearts.

How I live my faith

I try to be as involved as I possibly can in my church ward. I have recently been called to help with babysitting, photographing events, substituting for classes and working in the LDS Temple. My most recent calling is to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Roseville Mission.

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Kyanne Spendlove
Everyone is allowed to attend a Mormon Church. To be able to attend the Temple, one must be worthy and keep the commandments that God has set out for us. Church is where members go once a week to renew baptismal covenants with our Heavenly Father and participate in lessons and discussions to learn more about Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ the Holy Ghost and His Gospel. In the Temple, sacred ordinances are performed. Members are kept to a higher standard to enter and ordinances for the dead can be done so that all can recieve His word and hear of His Gospel.
