Hi I'm Mike Samuelian

My family is the love of my life. I believe in God and His Son. I try to live as they would have me live. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of five wonderful children and ten grandchildren whom I love with all my heart. I grew up in Southern California. My wife and I have been married for 31 years, she is the love of my life. We live in the heart of the rocky mountains, where I love to ride mountian bikes, road bikes, play tennis, golf and snow and water ski. I love to go out to dinner with my wife and just be with her. I have been blessed to work in the high tech industry my entire carreer, with some incredible people. I feel so blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up as a member of the LDS Church in Southern California put me in the minority. I played sports and grew up with mostly non-LDS friends who I still keep in touch with. I feel like my real belief in the Church came while serving a mission in Boston. I remember teaching a lady in Belmont Massachusetts on a very cold winter day. I told her that I believed the church to be true and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, that he did indeed see God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. After leaving her home that day, I realized that I didnt really know, and that if I was going to teach people about my faith.....I had better obtain that knowledge, or return home. It didnt come all at once, but through study, prayer and sincere desire, I felt the power of God through His Spirit (which is the Hold Ghost) come and fill my heart with a warmth and power, that I just knew He was there, that He loved me, and that what I was teaching people....was all true. My journey toward God and His Son has taken time, but it has been so worth it. I believe that we have the potential to return back to God, and through the atonement of His Son, become like Him.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith with the way I live my life. I love people, and I have a special love for the youth of this world. I love their energy, excitement and passion for learning. They keep me young and young at heart. I have been privilidged to work with young men and women my entire life, from coaching sports teams to church service to non-profit youth organizations. My professional carreer has taken me literally all over the world. Many of my closest friends are not members of the LDS church. I have found them to be people of integrity and goodness, and my life has been blessed by my association with them.
