Hi I'm Jeff

I'm LDS. I grew up in the western U.S. and attend undergraduate student.

About Me

I'm going to college, studying wildlife and wildlands conservation. I've done a lot of hobbies like rockets, slot cars, rock climbing, go karting, hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and I have had experiences throughout my activity in general, youth program, and missionary service activities, and continue to have them. I have found that when I have difficulties - whether cause by me or others - the principles taught by the Church have help keep me afloat and happy.

How I live my faith

I visit people in my ward as a home teacher, making sure they're doing well and helping them stay strong in the faith. I also gather reports from other home teachers in the ward, passing along any necessary information to leaders so that help can be provided when needed.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

God will reward you according to your faith. If you sincerely want to know truth, then you will be guided to it. Showing your faith is accomplished by being obedient to God's commandments. If you pray to Him as he has commanded in Moroni 10:4-5 of the Book of Mormon, ask for guidance, and obey His word, then you will receive His guidance and know that Mormonism is true. Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Service in the Church is a blessing both to those who serve and to those being served. Actively serving in Church functions helps build God's kingdom on earth and fortify the testimonies and faith of one another. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is what gives us hope for eternal happines. God created a plan for us to become like Him. God knew that we would make mistakes and sin in this life, disqualifying us from receiving all of the blessings He has prepared for us and from become as perfect and pure as He is. Because of His love for us He prepared a way for our sins to be washed away. This way is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ gave his whole life to his Heavenly Father and lived perfectly. He willingly paid the price for our sins so that we could have a chance to return to our Heavenly Father and become like Him despite our imperfections. In order to claim this Atonement we must live the Gospel by having faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
