Hi I'm Layne

I am a mother. I am a nurse. I am a mormon.

About Me

I love to be active with my 4 young children. We often swim at the YMCA pool. I taught my 7 and 5 year old how to snow ski in the mountains near our home. Before I had children I completed my nursing degree at the University of Washington. I have worked as a nurse, then a charge nurse, and am now a house supervisor. I have found joy and fulfillment in life though being a mother, my work, and my loving husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 8. At that time in my young life I leaned on the testimony and faith of my parents and others around me. At the age of 18 I was truly converted. I read the book of mormon. I prayed to know if it was true. The Holy Spirit was a testimony to me that yes indeed it was true, and that Joseph Smith was the first prophet in our current day. I have found much joy and happiness in living a virtuous life.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others. Almost every day I am doing a good deed for my neighbors and friends. At church, I help lead a group of girls ages 8-9 in a program that builds their faith, is fun, helps them build social relationships, and teaches them life skills. I very much enjoy working with my little 8-9yo girls. They are full of giggles and joy.
