Hi I'm Lisa

I grew up in Idaho Falls, ID. I am currently studying to be an elementary teacher at BYU. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho Falls, ID. In fact, I have lived there my entire life, in the same house, until I came to Utah. I am the fourth child out of five, and I have four nieces and two nephews. I am majoring in Elementary Education here at Brigham Young University. I feel I am very blessed to be here, and blessed to have the opportunity of teaching young children in a few years. Who could ask for a better job? Some of my favorite things to do are spend time with my family and/or friends, play tennis, camp, play just dance, shoot floo floo arrows, read a book, play board games, or do anything else that is active and exciting. I especially love to spend time with my family. My mom is my best friend, and so I love talking with her as well. My favorite season is summertime because I love heat. My favorite food is Mexican food. However, I like almost all foods. Ever since I came to college, I have become much more appreciative of anything that is homemade. I particularly love desserts and treats. Some foods I prefer not to eat are pineapple (unless it is fresh), flan, and foods that are sweet and sour. All these things are a big part of who I am, but the biggest part of my life is the gospel. I am so grateful for it. I will end with a quote from general conference about how much the gospel is a part of my life, “I know it. I live it. I love it.”

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is true. I know it is. I know my Heavenly Father loves me, and is aware of every detail in my life. I know Jesus Christ atoned for my sins. He understands completely how I feel, and He knows exactly how to help me. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God, and that he offers us guidance necessary for our day. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that he restored the gospel to the earth. I know prayers are answered. I know that the scriptures are true. I know that my family can be together forever. I know that my Heavenly Father has my best interests in mind, and that He will always be there for me. He is my best friend.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying to my Heavenly Father through, and reading scriptures daily. I fulfill my church calling by planning activities for the sisters in my ward.
