Hi I'm Annie

I'm a student and a teacher. I'm a musician, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love music. It is my favorite thing. There is no better way to express myself. With this love of music, I have been teaching piano for about 3 years, doing my best to inspire my students. On top of teaching 14 students, I'm going to school full time, studying Psychology. I love studying how people think and why they act in certain ways. Soon I will graduate and apply to Grad school. I want to go into Marriage and Family Therapy. In my spare time I love hanging out with friends, playing volleyball, reading books, and singing. In my life I've had some struggles with depression. Depression is not fun, but it has made me a stronger person. I feel like my experiences will help me when I get into my practice with Marriage and Family Therapy. I have a big family and can't spend enough time with them. I have 8 siblings, two nieces, and one nephew. My family is my biggest support. I love them!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am happier when I live the principles this church teaches. Being a member of the church my whole life, it seemed obvious that I would join, but as I do the things that this gospel teaches me I am blessed with the strength I need to overcome trials. I am blessed with health, mental and physical, energy to do the things I need to, and answers to prayers. If I wasn't a member of this church, I would probably not be going to college or pursuing the dreams I now have. It is because of the Church of Jesus Christ that I am able to accomplish the things that I want and aspire to do.

How I live my faith

This is an interesting question. For me how I live my faith is such an integral part of my life. Every aspect of my life is tied into my faith in my Savior. My faith affects the way I approach disappointments and successes. My faith informs my hopes, dreams, and aspirations. I live my faith by turning my will over to the Lord. One example of this is what I want to do after I graduate college. For a while I was frustrated because I didn't know what i wanted to do or what would be best for me, but I exercised faith (and continue to exercise faith), by trusting the Lord to stop me if I were going down the wrong path. I made a decision to go to grad school and started moving towards that goal. With my faith in my Savior, I try to help others come towards him. I smile because I know my Savior has made it so that I can overcome any trial in life.
