Hi I'm James

I was born in Utah on a vacation. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. I am preparing for a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently studying at BYU and have recieved my mission call to serve in the England London South Mission. I played 6 sports in high school. I love to laugh and have fun. I have traveled to 4 different countries. I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have found out for myself the truthfulness of the Gospel. I was born into the church but I always had a desire to know for myself if it was right. That desire drove me to read the book or Mormon and pray and ask questions. Through this long process I was able to feel by the power of the Holy Ghost that this is the true church. I can not wait to proclaim that on my mission. I have made mistakes though and had times of weakness and during those times my testimony has only grown through prayer and repentence. I know that my Savior watches over me and loves me, I know that we can someday be like him, and I know that our prayers are answered. These simple truths have been confirmed to me in my life through different personal experiences. This gospel is the reason I can be so happy and enjoy my life so fully. That is why I am a Mormon. Its because I have searched the scriptures and asked if they are true and I have gotten my own personal revelation. I know this church is true, I know the Book of Mormon is true and I know the Lord lives and watches over me day by day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through very simple, but repeated and meaningful actions. I love to serve those around me whether it be with physical labor or picking someone up when they are down. I go to all my church meetings and participate in them. I am a part of a presidency in my ward. I hometeach members of my ward on a monthly basis to make sure that they are doing ok, to share a gospel message with them, and to help strengthen everyone involved. I have lived my faith through the daily small things, such as scripture study and prayer, these things mean so much to me as they have helped me through so many of my challenges. I love living my faith and sharing it with others, either through talking to them about the gospel or just always trying to be as happy as possible with a smile on my face.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

We believe that the church the Jesus Christ organized during his ministry has been restored through Joseph Smith onto the earth again. We believe that we can be with our families forever. That is so important to me as my family is everything. Once we pass away we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and also our families from earth. I love this church and gospel, it is the true way to happiness and eternal life. Show more Show less
