Hi I'm Terry Keyes

I grew up in Lancaster Pennsylvania, the heartland of Amish country. I like to skateboard and play guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies and interests are diverse. I like to skateboard, play guitar, play chess, walk in nature, record music, exercise, hang out with friends and relax. Basically just have a good time. I am currently serving a full time mission in the Ogden Utah Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it helps me be a better person. It's not always easy but the peace I get from doing good is worth it. I do it because I love my savior Jesus Christ and want to follow his example. I still make mistakes but I know that I can be forgiven. Being a Mormon gives me a sense of purpose. I know where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going. It gives me comfort to know that after this life I can live with god, and that we will all be in a better state than here on earth. My faith helps me see the bigger picture of life, that I am part of a whole and something bigger than myself. It helps me know that I have a purpose here and that I am loved and known by God, who is my heavenly Father. It teaches me that we are all family, literally brothers and sisters, and that we have the same father, who is god. It helps me endure the hard times in life because I know that I am not alone and that everything thing bad that happens in life will be for my good.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I try to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be compassionate with all people and serve them. I try to follow the commandments as best I can. I know that I am not perfect and make mistakes all the time but I know that I can be forgiven and become clean through Jesus Christ. He suffered for my sins, pains and sicknesses so that he can help me.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

Terry Keyes
We believe that we will live again. Death is not the end but the beginning of the next life. We will live again because Jesus Christ rose from the dead and was resurrected. We will have perfect bodies and won't experience pain or sickness and we will be happy. We will be judged by god of the things we've done in this life. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Terry Keyes
Yes. We believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that he suffered and died for our sins. We believe that he lived a perfect life and taught us the right way to live. We strive to follow him and his example in all that we do. Show more Show less
