Hi I'm Patrick

I'm a Mormon. And a Missionary.

About Me

I'm a missionary in Spokane Washington mission! I love to read. Stories are something that have always captivated me, the who and where and why and what. Their is something to learned from every story, and looking into every book you read is another experience internalized and gained from. I'm a nature lover and avid Hiker, something about the smell of thick foliage and the sounds of woodland creatures gets me excited. I'm also and artist, painting portraits of friends and family is something that I really enjoy, being able to show my perspective of the world is a way to communicate on a level that words cannot describe.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, and have always had it's influence in my life. And it's been something that I have always enjoyed. Being able to continue to learn about Christ and his love for me, and just the Church's encouragement to search out truth and light. Studying the scriptures and understanding what God wants for me in my life really draws me to the Church. Having a prophet, I can know that this church has Christ at the head. I mean it's not according to man's interpretation of doctrine or scripture but that through the Church I can know what God want's for me in my life and how I can come closer to him. I know this church is true because I've read the Book of Mormon and I've prayed and asked God if it is. I've felt the blessing of having a prophet at the head of the church. Having guidance and direction that can't really come from anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I have a relationship with my Heavenly Father, I can talk to him in prayer and he can talk to me as I read the scriptures. I come closer to God when I live the commandments and act in the way He would want me to. That way I can feel of his love and be blessed in my life. I really try to live as the Savior would, to follow his example and love my fellow man. But I'm not perfect, and I do make mistakes as imperfect man do. But when I go to Christ I know I can move beyond my mistakes and live up to my potential as a child of my Heavenly Father.
