Hi I'm Kristin Barbara Mautz Center

Born and raised in Illinois. Never thought I would live on a farm, but I do and it I love the life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six now adult children and currently have six terrific grandchildren. Graduated from college with a BS in Home Economics. My parents were converts to the Church when I was 2 years old. I enjoy working outside on our farm - in my flower beds. I find great pleasure in knitting and piecing quilts and in a good book. I am very fond of animals and look forward to having another BIG dog one day. I really enjoy good music that lifts my spirit. My life is about as good as it gets and I am so thankful for that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by convert parents. My father was a college professor when he converted. I don't remember a time when I didn't believe the church was true. It has always been part of my life - actually, it is my life. I find great joy in church service. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. I know he lives and because of his atonement I can repent and receive forgiveness and live again. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I have read The Book of Mormon and know it is true as the Spirit has so testified to me. I do not doubt it. I know we have prophets and apostles on the earth today just as there were in Jesus' time. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in its fulness. I am thankful for the knowledge I have of its truth.

How I live my faith

Currently I serve in one of our church's 140 temples three days a week. Church service is one of my greatest blessings. Prior to my temple assignment I worked with the young women in our area. Girls camp was the best! I love the youth of the church. I enjoy teaching in our women's organization and/or leading the singing.
