Hi I'm Annalise

I am from Small-Town USA, have red hair and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young, married, college graduate and have a degree in Building Construction and Historic Preservation. Most young girls don't go into construction, but I love working with my hands and enjoy hard work! I have worked on historic homes, barns, and log-cabins. I love to sew, read, play with my cat, George, and decorating my small apartment.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes my life easier. My dad lost his mom as a teenager and before she passed away, she told him, "Our religion is different because of the testimony of a fourteen year-old boy." She was referring to Joseph Smith, but I think that refers to anyone's beliefs. What makes me a Mormon is the fact that I believe it- it makes sense. It makes me happy. And it makes my life complete.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my job- I work as a historic interpreter and get to work with people from all over, telling them about the local history of the west and Utah. I love learning personal stories from people's family history and heritage. People love to tell them and I love to listen. I live my faith by loving my husband. We have been married since June 2010 and every day, I am grateful for his patience and humor that make every day enjoyable. Of course, we have troubling times, like when he chases the cat around the house and knock things over or when I use every available dish in the house and it's his dish turn. But, we work through it all because it's always worth it.
