Hi I'm Cade

I grew up in Nebraska and Arizona, I am a college student, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like being active, whether its playing sports with friends, exercising, or even going for bike rides and hikes. I especially like snowboarding and mountain biking. I am by no means an adrenaline junkie, but I do enjoy more exciting activities. My whole life I've been this way because I have followed my parents example. They taught me that I should always try to improve myself and that is something that I try to do everyday. I am also a college student studying medicine in hopes of one day becoming a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings peace. Being in high school I made more than my fair share of mistakes and had times where I wanted to be see what I thought I was missing out on in the world. But the more I was around those things, the more I realized that those things weren't for me. There is a direct correlation between the times that were hardest in my life and the times I was farthest away from the church. The way I see it is that you can never go wrong when you are doing good things. Being a Mormon and following the teachings of the gospel makes me the happiest and always helps me know what decisions I make are right. There is just peace of mind knowing that I also have the support of all the other members. I know that this church is true, and that by following its teachings I am doing the right things. I also know that our prophet is true and living today and provides me with counsel to make my life better.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is simple, I serve others as best as I can. Whether it be through service projects with members of my youth group or by just being a friend to someone in need, I do my best to make others lives better every day. Serving others brings me happiness in a way nothing else can. Sure I would rather do things for myself sometimes, but after I have helped someone out I realize that there is nothing I would have rather done. This principle of service is so dear and important to me because Jesus Christ served others constantly and I try to follow his example everyday. Is it hard sometimes to look outside myself sometimes? Yes. Is it worth it every time I do it? Always. My service will soon continue as I leave to become a missionary of my church for two years where I will serve the people of the state or country I am called to.
