Hi I'm Chris

I'm a gamer, a future scientist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a member of the LDS church since about 2009. I absolutly love stars, space, black holes, atoms, and pretty much anything else that is either incredibly large, or incredibly small. I want to go into Aerospace Engineering as a career, and I want to retire into Theoretical Physics or whatever field I need to get into to research the beginnings of the universe.

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't always been a member of this church. Before god found me, I had a base belief in some sort of christian God, but I didn't really believe any churches had any idea what they were talking about. I spent some time going to different churches, but none of them felt "real" to me. As a result, my faith in god dwindled almost to the point I had a hard time believing he existed anymore. One day just before class my friend started reading the Book of Mormon. I had never heard of "mormons" before, but for some reason I felt a huge desire to know what that book was. So I went over, and asked for a copy of it. A month or so after that, She gave me a copy, and I started reading. I read about to 2nd nephi, and decided I wanted to learn more about this church. So I went online and tried to find some reliable material about it. I came across a lot of extremely dramatic opinions, but anybody can say anything they want on the internet, and I was looking for a statement of what the church believed, not what people outside it thought they believed. So I ended up on the church's official website (a lot like this one) and I found the chat with the missionaries section. I ended up talking with a missionary for a while about a few things they believed, but more importantly, I heard about Joseph Smith's story. So I heard about Joseph Smith, and how he went and asked for an answer from god. I decided I wanted to know for myself, and realized that if I wanted to know, I too could ask, and if there was a god, he promised he would answer. So I got on my knees and said my first prayer ever, and a few days later, I realized god was real. I felt his presence so strongly I cannot deny it, and from then on my entire life changed. A couple months after that, I was baptized and have been an active member ever since. This church has changed my life in every aspect for the better, and this is truly how god intends his children to live.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission in the state of Arizona. However, in Colorado I regularly attended church and helped wherever I could in my "ward" or congregation.
