Hi I'm Tyler Lindsay

I live in Utah. I play the piano, cello, guitar, and bass guitar. I love music, I love engineering. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 8 kids in my family of 10. I love my family! I enjoy being an example to my younger siblings, and helping them in whatever ways I can. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my brothers, and I love talking with my next-oldest sister, and playing with my baby sister. I'm currently serving a two-year mission in Everett, Washington. I absolutely love music. I enjoy being able to play, accompany, or perform for others. In 2015, after my mission, I plan on attending Brigham Young University and majoring in Civil Engineering. I have always loved designing and creating things.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy! And not a temporary or momentary kind of "happy", but a lasting and fulfilling "happy"! I know that I can always repent and be made clean again, no matter what sins and mistakes I make. I also know that if I do repent and follow the commandments of God, that His Holy Ghost will be able to stay with me. When the Holy Ghost is with me, I feel happy and like everything will be okay, despite the hardships and troubles of life. I am a Mormon because our loving Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost love us so much and want the absolute best for every single one of us. Because of this love, we can even see and be reunited with our passed loved ones after we die. I know through the witness of the Holy Ghost that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ and that this gospel is indeed a gospel of happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking for ways to serve others, reading the scriptures, visiting and teaching friends and families, praying, sharing my talents, attending church, and smiling!

How does the Church finance its operations?

Tyler Lindsay
The church receives money to support the construction of chapels and temples, humanitarian aid, missionary efforts, and any other expense that becomes necessary through tithing. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ, we have been asked to pay 10% of our income. I know that I have been blessed for repaying a portion of what God himself has blessed my with. I know that this sacrifice on my part has strengthened my faith in The Lord and has brought so many blessings upon me, as He himself promised in the book of Malachi, "the Lord will open the windows of heaven and pour down blessings that there will not be room enough to receive them".
