Hi I'm Rebecca

I love learning new things. I teach 6th grade, and I love it. Now I'm starting my own family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently got married in the temple. It was a wonderful day. I never knew I could be so happy and as at peace as on that day. Prior to getting married and currently I am teaching sixth grade. It's rewarding yet challenging. It fits me really well. Any other job would bore me, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to starting a new career as a mother. We're expecting our first child in June. That will definitely bring its own set of challenges and rewards but I'm excited to be a mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, not only because that's how I was raised but because I have found out for myself that it is the way I should go in my life. It brings me a sense of purpose and direction in my life when everything else seems so confusing. Following the Holy Ghost, (what some might liken to a conscience but much more peaceful) has helped me make important decisions in my life. I know that because I was baptized I have the right to its companionship and help in my life. Because I am a member of the church, I can have a relationship with God that is personal. I know I am His daughter and that He loves me more than I can understand. I have felt His power through His priesthood which has been restored through His prophets. I am so grateful to be living on the earth during a time when His power has been given to men to direct His work. It's because of this and many other wonderful experiences I've had that I'm a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I attend the temple at least once a month. I served a mission speaking Spanish in New Jersey. I go visiting teaching. I go to church every week. Every week I go to church for three hours. That may seem like a lot of time to dedicate to church but it fills my soul. I teach the 3 and 4 year olds at church with my husband.
