Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a served two tours of combat in Iraq. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a proud father of four kids who has been married to a wonderful wife for 15 years. After serving 10 years in the Army, to include two combat tours in Iraq, my wife and I moved our family to the Midwest. Currently I am a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt who enjoys teaching others ways to add value in what they do everyday - both professionally and personally. I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking in the great outdoors surrounding North America's Great Lakes. As an Eagle Scout I am engaged with a local Boy Scout Troop in an effort to help other boys enjoy the same experiences I grew up with.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have learned on my own that the doctrine and gospel principles it teaches are true. I have had a chance to testify of this gospel in the wonderful land of Italy. I have lived under its calming influence during two tours of combat in Iraq. I now feel of its simple truths as I teach my own children how to return to their Father in Heaven. I continue to belong to the church because it brings calm and peace during these tumultuous times and promises of a brighter future if we are willing to choose the right.

How I live my faith

I've been given several great opportunities to help participate in our local community. As a former Eagle Scout I have connected with a local Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troop. I serve on one of the adult committees with oversight of their finances, training, and chartering. I also have been through the BSA's premier leadership training, Woodbadge, and am currently on a staff that will train the region's next group of adult volunteers. I also have the opportunity to serve several mature couples in the local area. I visit with them monthly and help them with everything from roof repair after a brutal Midwestern storm to ensuring we have American Sign Language Interpreters at our local church meetings.
