Hi I'm Joshua Tolman

I grew up in Ontario, Oregon. I love helping out others in need. I served in the Japan Fukuoka Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the third oldest of four children. I have always liked to have good, wholesome fun. I love to help others. I participated in numerous extracurricular activities in middle school and high school. I went to college at Treasure Valley Community College and received my Associates in General Education. I hope to transfer to Utah State University when I get back from my mission. I am currently serving my mission in Fukuoka Japan. I look forward to the opportunity to fulfill the Lord's work. After my mission I hope to get married in the temple and be able to continue to always help others in whatever way I can. Other things about me are that I love playing video games, listening to music, hanging out with my family, and having lots of fun. I love all types of video games. As long as I can play them with my family. I love listening to all types of music for the most part, especially rock and country. I love hanging out with my family and going to the amusement park Lagoon in Utah with them. And that is me for the most part.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is my life. There is no way that I could live without it. The way I live my life is completely centered around being a Mormon. The biggest impact it has is the way I treat other people. I try to treat everyone like Christ would treat everyone, with love and compassion. All of my happiness comes from following the commandments and fulfilling God's plan for me. It is such a wonderful feeling to be able to go through life knowing who I am and how I'm supposed to live. As I have grown up, I have learned for myself the truth and have gained a testimony for my own of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My favorite part about the Gospel is that I can be with my family forever. The fact that God loves us and has given us the opportunity to live with our families now and through all eternity brings me the greatest joy. I know that after this life I will see all of my family again and I will live with them forever.

How I live my faith

I have been a member since I was born. I got baptized when I was 8 and received the Aaronic Priesthood when I was 12. Since then I've served in many callings in the Church: Deacon President, Teacher President, Priest 1st Counselor, Ward Missionary, and Personal Facility Representative (PFR). I have always looked to learn more and these callings have helped me to learn a lot. I also went from being a cub scout to obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout. This has helped me to learn life skills and has helped me grow spiritually. All of these have helped shape me into the individual I am today. What helps most though is going to church, reading the scriptures, going to the temple, and participating in church activities. I'm always looking for ways to serve others. I love to serve others and am always willing to help out. If anybody reading this needs any help, please contact me. I would love to be able to help you in anyway I can.
