Hi I'm Heather Nordstrom

Hi there! I was born and raised in beautiful Northern California. I play the tenor saxophone. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love everything about the outdoors. I love camping, hiking, walking along the beach and watching the sun set (all of those typical ''stereo types''? Yeah, I love them all) I love to play games with large groups of people and with that comes the laughter. Music plays an incredibly important part in my life; I love to listen to it, sing it, think it up and especially play it on my Tenor saxophone. I really love playing sports too. I love to swim, play softball, soccer, basketball, ultimate Frisbee. You name it and I love to play it! (But I am certainly not great at all of those). I'm just your average joe-et. I love life and everything in it. I know that we all go through something personal and hard, but we are blessed with people who care about us and love us to help us get through those things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it has given me a purpose as to why exactly I am here on this Earth, where I came from and most importantly where I am going after this life. It's standards have shaped me into the person I am today, everyday. I know that through living the gospel of Jesus Christ, we can grow closer to Him and experience the blessings of happiness and joy I get each day. I know that the Book of Mormon is also true, that it is another testament of Jesus Christ and the things that are taught in that book as well as in the Bible, are things that help us understand God's will for us and what we can do to bring as much happiness into our lives as possible.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a voluntary 18 month mission for the church and I absolutely love it! There is nothing else I'd rather do with my time or life than share such an important message with people. We talk to people and share with them about how families can be together forever after this life and how we can bring greater joy, peace and happiness in our own lives here on earth. My family is so incredibly important to me so why not go out and help others bless their own families? The way I live my faith outside of representing the church is a part of who I am. Serving people is not just for a few kind hearted people, it is for all of us! I love serving people and though I am certainly not perfect, I try to put other's needs before my own. I try to think of how the Savior would have served those around me and try my best to be Christlike. I have a saying that we shouldn't have to wait for chances to serve because if we wait, we might have to wait a long time so we need to create opportunities! Go out of your way to help someone and bless their life :)
