Hi I'm Jennie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of three charming sons, one fearless daughter, and a comfortable baby. I enjoy spending time outdoors, running, hiking with my family, or biking my children to school. I think the natural world is fascinating and beautiful. I want to become a better gardener and learn more about native plants and animals. I like exploring the New England area where we live. The seasons here are fantastic, and my family and I have an exhilarating time sliding, skating, leaf-jumping, tad-pole hunting, swimming and fishing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because Jesus Christ is truly at the head of this church. I have a testimony of His reality. I believe the accounts in the Bible and the Book of Mormon of His teachings, His atonement and His resurrection. I know that because of His sacrifice, my sins can be forgiven and I will be able to live with my family as a resurrected person after this life. I came to know this by reading the scriptures and asking God if they are His words. Over time, I have participated in the organization of the Mormon church, and I am impressed with the hearts and minds of the members I have interacted with. I have experienced a spirit of service, love and community that surpasses that of any other organization I have come in contact with. I am also impressed with the teachings and counsel of the prophet and apostles of the Church. Their advice and directions are accurate and wise on how to live according to Christ's teachings, raise a family, and be happy in today's world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures, praying and writing in my journal. I strive to do this everyday and find that it helps me to feel peace and a calm confidence in the decisions I make for myself and my children. I work on being an example to my children of Jesus Christ. I hope they will be happy, charitable and self-confident as they learn about Heavenly Father's love for them through me. I serve other families in my church and in my community. I especially enjoy the visiting teaching program in the Mormon faith, which gives me the responsiblity to visit and be friends with four other women outside of church activities. Two women also visit me in my home. I have felt joy in serving and teaching in this way and have made many wonderful friends over the years.
