Hi I'm Amanda

I was born and raised in Cedar City, UT. I love to be active. I am a Mormon!

About Me

My whole life I have been very involved with sports. Throughout high school I played 3 sports. Basketball was my favorite, ever since I was little. I was always really involved. I'm going to college, and planning on majoring in Biology. I love Biology, and always have! I love to do artsy things and make crafts. I have a family of 7. I'm really close to them all. I have three older siblings and one younger brother. Family has always been important to me and we love doing things together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in this gospel, so it's always made sense because I have been surrounded by those who know that this is the true church on the earth today. I had my doubts and questions but I'll never forget all my experiences that I couldn't deny the truth. Since I was baptised and confirmed a member of the church, I can't count how many times I was guided by the Spirit. Doing simple things like making decisions, being warned, or simply being comforted by the Spirit have been testimony builders that this is indeed the Church of Jesus Christ. Like I said earlier, I love my family very much, and having the knowledge that I get to be with my family forever gets me through any rough day that I have. Another reason I am a Mormon, is I know I wouldn't have the relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior, without this church in my life. We have the Book of Mormon that brings the fullness of the gospel along side the Bible. I love reading from the scriptures and learning more about Jesus Christ. I know that when I read from the scriptures I feel the love that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for me. I don't know what I would do without this reassurance I get everyday being a member of this church. I have received the witness that I need to know without a shadow of a doubt, that this is the true church and that being a member surpasses anything. Spending time gaining a testimony and witness of this truth was the best way I could have spent my time. By reading the scriptures and praying in faith that my Heavenly Father hears AND answers my prayers through the Spirit I have come to know these things. It brings happiness that can't be compared to anything else!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going and attending church each week. And every once in a while I get the opportunity to teach a group of sisters. I learn more myself when I teach than those that listen to me. I'm sure of it. I love to teach the sisters in my ward, we always have a good time bearing testimony together. I love participating in my calling each week.
