Hi I'm Brittany

I'm a BYU-Idaho student. I will be serving a mission in Maryland. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outdoors, riding my bike, and playing with my family. Though I'm long past the typical age of a babysitter I still get asked to babysit and I love it! I play both the piano and violin, which I've enjoyed playing in orchestras in both high school and college. I thrive on learning and feeling my brain stretch as I try to comprehend new ideas. At first I may appear shy and quiet, but as soon as people get to know me they always say otherwise :D

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the LDS church my entire life, but I don't continue to live it just because it is what my family does. I know for myself that this church is true. There is not one specific date and time that I can say I suddenly knew of it's truthfulness. It has come as I live what I've been taught and see the results of it in my life. I'm happier and more at peace when I follow the teachings of the LDS church. I have purpose and direction; I know why I am here and where I'm going. When I need help I know God is there for me and as I pray He comforts my soul and gives me the strength to go on. Life is hard, it always has been and always will be for every person who ever lives, but with God at my side to guide me, I know it can be a wonderful and joyful experience. I am happy despite the daily challenges I face. Every day through my example and words, I can reach out to others to help them see the good in life and show them the way to happiness.

How I live my faith

Church is a time to be spiritually uplifted and to allow my influence to lift those around me. I have opportunities during church to share the things I've learned in my life and my thoughts on the scriptures so that others can see what I know and learn from it also. At the same time, I learn from others as they take their turn in teaching. But these things are not limited to church only, I can share what I know everyday with those around me so they can benefit too.
