Hi I'm Marci

I grew up in Utah. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play the piano, dance, and read. I'm currently attending college and working towards a Bachelor's Degree, and living the college life of Spaghettios, Top Ramen, and lots of homework.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up going to an LDS church, I still had to be convinced it was the real deal. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it, and had the most beautiful feeling - confirming its truth. After receiving this confirmation, I knew this church was the true church - for it followed the teachings and principles found in this book. It also lead to a series of conclusions: if the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet, if Joseph Smith was a prophet then the church was the true church of God here upon the Earth. If the Book of Mormon is true then Jesus Christ lived, suffered, and died so that we could have the opportunity to repent and return to live with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I like to do volunteer work. I've participated in a variety of activities from blood drives to sorting food at the food bank. I also enjoy participating in my church; I've created a monthly newsletter to help everyone know about upcoming activities and I help to make sure all of the sisters, in our area, are being visited. I also visit some of the sisters and help to make sure they are happy.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes, we believe the Bible is Holy Scripture and the word of God. The Bible came from the writings of holy men of God as moved upon by the Holy Ghost. The Book of Mormon is also Holy Scripture and the word of God. The Book of Mormon supports and exalts the Bible; both of which testify of Christ. Show more Show less
