Hi I'm Nanette Samuelson

I'm a mother of 6. I have a joy within that I can't help but share. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I homeschool my 5 sons and 1 daughter, always busy and a little bit crazy. I enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of nature, espcially the ocean, mountains and sunsets. I am a ballerina, poet, reader, crafter and am happiest when I am helping others.

Why I am a Mormon

Though hard times come, the roller coaster of life, I have found strength in my faith in my Savior and Father in Heaven. Knowing They love me, will always stand beside me and are ready to guide me if I ask, I know they answer my prayers, gives me the abilty to endure and press on. I find my confidence in Them grows as I see Their hand daily blessing me in my life. As I read the scriptures, I hear the voice of the Lord speak to my heart, I find peace, answers, direction and joy. There is healing, strength, peace, forgiveness and joy that comes in my life as I turn to my Savior, He helps me carry my burdens, and will even make them lighter, or me stronger. I know They are real. I have felt Their love. They know who I am and They care about me, as much as They do you. Because of all these things, my life has deeper purpose and direction, and I know that where I am headed will bring me closer to Them. There is also joy in understanding how I can be together forever with those I love most, and that Heavenly Father has shown us the way. We also have living prophets that speak the words the Lord would have us hear, to guide us. The Book of Mormon speaks to my heart and I know the people and stories in it lived and they have given me an example and teachings to bring me closer to the Lord if I live them. There is a joy that can be found in no other place that I have looked, except in following Jesus sharing it with others.

How I live my faith

I live each day trying to do the things the Lord would have me do, being His helping hands. I do this because I love people and want to share in some small way that God loves them, and I can best do this by serving them. My husband is a Bishop, and this opens more ways to serve, that is when I am happiest. I also teach the youth in our church. Being a mother has helped define who I am. It has taken some of my rough edges off, and makes me want to be a better person for them. Much of what I do, I do for them. Kindness, gentleness, patience, love, all things I strive to be better at so that they will have footsteps to walk in that lead them to their Savior.
