Hi I'm Emilie

I'm a student, a soccer player, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Emilie. I am a student, a daughter, sister, friend, and teammate. I am 14 years old and I am the youngest of eight children. I have lived in Texas, Utah and (currently) Massachusetts. I work at McDonalds. I love sports, especially soccer and running. I have played soccer almost my whole life. When I was in 8th grade, I was on the high school JV team, so I hope to make varsity freshmen year! I LOVE animals. I've even delivered puppies! I love reading too, especially reading my scriptures (and Harry Potter). I also love food. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the teachings of the church have taught me to make wise decisions. I can see the eternal perspective of my choices and the consequences. I have goals in my life because of what I've learned. I am a Mormon because I believe in something more than "living in the now". Because I believe in something bigger than myself. Because I need God's help in everything I do. Everyone does.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an "example of the believers". I don't know if you know this, but it is difficult being a teenage girl in this world. Not only am I the only Mormon in my school, all around me are temptations to do wrong. Drugs, alcohol, profanity, immoral activities, and immodesty are some of those temptations. Not only is there pressure to do these things, but they are considered "normal" to my peers. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I represent this church. I am an example. When people will think of Mormons, they will think of me. And the question I live with is: " Who will they remember me as?". I am an example of the believers!
