Hi I'm Breana

I grew up in Utah. I married a Texan and became a nanny. I'm a mormon

About Me

I love to be around children. I started working as a nanny after I got married and moved to Texas. I grew to love the families that I took care of, and I learned so much about myself during that time. It's been a difficult road, but my husband and I are now expecting our first child! I love cooking, baking, shopping, and crafting. I love doing DIY projects, and being able to look around my home and know that I made or transformed the things that are in it. I have started sewing and am starting to really love doing it. I made the baby bedding for our daughter, and am working on finishing a quilt for her. I love being outdoors when the weather is nice. I love camping, hiking, canoeing or rafting, boating, playing sports with family and friends, or just doing yard work. I LOVE spending time with my family! My sister is my best friend, and we talk almost daily. I also love being with my nieces and nephews. They bring so much joy into my life! The hardest part about moving to Texas after I got married, is being away from my family in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. My mother was baptized when she was 19, and my father was raised in the church. There came a point in my life when I needed to find out for myself that the Book of Mormon was true, and that the things that I had been taught growing up were true. Through prayer and scripture study I was able to know by a peaceful feeling that it was in deed true. Every time I read the Book of Mormon now, I learn new things and the holy ghost testifies of the truthfulness of it. I served a mission in McAllen Texas when I turned 21, and through that experience my testimony became solidified. I have found that I am happiest when I live the gospel of Jesus Christ. The things I have learned at church and in my home growing up have also helped me during the difficult times of my life. Especially recently, as my husband and I have struggled to start a family. We lost a little boy at 15 weeks, and I had never experienced such sadness in my life. I knew that Jesus Christ knew what I was feeling, and had suffered my sins, pains, and sorrows in the Garden of Gethsemane. I'm a happier person because I have the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I serve in the Young Women Organization. I was the girls camp director last summer for the 12-16 year old girls, and LOVED being up at summer camp with them. I now help with an achievement program that the church has, called Personal Progress. I LOVE being around these girls, and learning from them!
