Hi I'm Ashley Hanley

I am a dweeb and I am serving in the California Carlsbad Mission.

About Me

I am very family oriented. I love doing almost everything with my family since it is in the home that we learn, grow, and develop into the people we need to become. My home has helped me become someone who can stand up when life gets increasingly hard and want to help others to their feet as well. This gospel has mold me into a person who craves to help and support others, to show them the way to eternal happiness. I know that any talents I do have have been given to me for the benifit of others and hope to continue to serve all of my days.

Why I am a Mormon

For the longest time, I thought I was just a Mormon because my parents were. I didn't really have a testimony until I read the Book of Mormon all the way through. My testimony is: No matter how strong you are, God can break down all of the muscle you have built yourself mentally. But it is like what a parent does when their child thinks that they can be stinkers to the parent. But when you learn that you are his child, and you truly take the time to know him as your own father, your spiritual and mental strength will be so much greater. You will know that through whatever hardship, your Heavenly Father will never leave you. You will always know that his love for you will never falter. My testimony is that my Father in Heaven will hold me up when I feel faint, and that if I ask with a humble heart and a contrite spirit, I can do anything.

How I live my faith

I love volunteer work; it gives me the oppertunity not only to get to know people, but learn to love them as my heavenly brothers and sisters. I love just asking people if they need help or donating clothes to a homeless teen shelter. I help out at the Bird training and learning center and help nurse injured birds back to the wild. I also am serving a full time mission in Carlsbad, California, doing as Christ has asked all of us, to "Feed my Sheep"

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Ashley Hanley
I pay 10% of my income, because not only will it give more opportunities to share The LDS belief; but we can also help nations when natural disasters hit, help families who are struggling to stay afloat in these hard times, and just all in all show people that we care about each individual.
