Hi I'm Anna

I joined the military and made a friend who invited me to church. Now I'm a nursing student and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I've lived most of my life in Oklahoma. After a year in college I joined the navy to get out of town and see the world, but also to help pay for the rest of my education. Now I'm fresh out of the navy and I'm doing what I said I would do. I'm attending a nursing college. My favorite subject is alternative medicine. I love to read and go exploring around the city with my husband. I love to get lost in a new area and find new shops and restaurants. I have a bird, two fish, and a lab. I don't have any kids. Yet. However my husband and I are hoping that we will soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been to many different church in my life (and it hasn't even been that long yet). None of those churches made as much sense as this one. I feel like I've finally received the Holy Ghost for real instead of just pretending because that's what everyone around me expects me to experience. I know what God's purpose is for my life and now I just want to fulfill that purpose because I know that I won't be happy doing anything else. I've also found comfort in a worldwide community who believes the same thing I do and I know I'm not alone. I want my children to grow up with these assurances instead of having to search all over the place for the truth. I don't want them to ever be as confused as I was about what God wants for us. He wants to make it through this journey on earth and rejoin him in heaven one day to be with our families forever. Amen

How I live my faith

I'm just starting to teach primary, or Sunday school. I have such great kids in my class and they learn so quickly. Being a newer member to the church, I have to read and study to keep up with there love of learning the scriptures. They motivate me to serve the Lord wholeheartedly. I also love singing in the choir and helping out with visiting teaching.
