Hi I'm Bryson

I love Basketball, Smiling, and Meeting my Goals. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am from Washington State and have played basketball since I was about 3 years old on the little Tykes hoop with my brother whose 5 years older than me. I've always loved it. The hardest thing for me in my life has been getting cut my Junior and Senior Year and not being able to make my goal of winning MVP in the NBA straight out of High School, that was supposed to happen by now... but it's alright. I should be on my school's wall of fame for being the 1st person in the 70 year history of the Tennis Team to get cut. Someday they might recognize that achievement. I studied a year at BYU studying to become...I don't really know yet but it's gonna be super legit. I'm now serving a 2 year mission and have been called to serve in Resistencia, Argentina

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned that God, our Heavenly Father, answers prayers. There is a promise in the back of the Book of Mormon, which basically says that if we read the book and pray to know if it is true, we will be able to know whether it's true or not by the power of the Holy Ghost. If the Book of Mormon is indeed true then this church is true. So after reading the Book of Mormon, I prayed to God to know whether or not it was true. I received my answer that it indeed was true. And since that day I continue to read from the Book of Mormon, and sometimes when i have doubts, I can ask God again and He gives me the answer every single time.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by Reaching my goals. Growing up my parents were always big fans of goals, to help us not waste our time during the summers we would write our goal sheets to strengthen our talents and become better people. We worked on these goals everyday so that we could check them off, goals like make 50 free throws, run 2 miles, and serve a family member. Along with these daily goals I had long term goals. Goals that inspired me to work on my daily goals. When I was little I wanted to be a Professional Basketball Player. As I got older, these goals changed being able to make the basketball teams. When I was cut from basketball my Junior Year, it was rough. But through my faith in Jesus Christ and the love he has for me, I was able to continue to look for opportunities, other doors that could open. One of these doors happened to be an old friend who I was able to invite to church activities. As he went he gained a strong testimony and was baptized into the church. Through my faith I've been able to see that God has a plan for each of us in our lives, and that sometimes when we don't make our goals it's because God has a greater work for us to do. This helps me live each day with more hope looking for opportunities that I can help in, these become my daily goals. All to work to my long term goal of being the best person I can be.
