Hi I'm Sam

I am a teacher. I grew up in Provo, UT. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Special Education teacher. I teach fourth through sixth graders. Right now I am getting a math endorsement to help my teaching. I also speak Spanish and have an ESL endorsement. Teaching is very important to me. I am married to my beautiful wife. I enjoy many hobbies, especially doing calligraphy, reading, hiking, biking, and watching movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have prayed about the Church, and feel that I have received an answer that this is the Lord's true church. I have felt the love and mercy of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and know that He is the Son of God. I have read the Book of Mormon and studied the words of the Bible and know they contain the words of the Lord, as spoken by His ancient prophets. I have read and studied the words of modern prophets, from Joseph Smith to our current prophet, Thomas Monson, and know that they are also inspired men and prophets of God. The Church strives to make good people better, and I feel like a better person when I follow its teachings.

How I live my faith

Right now I am the second counselor in the Bishopric, so I occasionally conduct the meetings at church. I have responsibilities with the youth and children in our congregation. Sometimes I go to their meetings and speak to them about our religion. I sometimes meet with others to give support or counsel. Other duties include working with our Sunday School leaders and teachers to improve our teaching, and working with the adult men of the ward to help them learn how to become better husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, and men.
