Hi I'm Kirstin

I'm a fashonista and craft fanatic. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in upstate, New York. I am the oldest of three kids. I love anything to do with clothing and crafts. My favorite past time is scrapbooking. I enjoy anything that is outdoors-especially canoeing and dog sledding. During college I did an Internship with Disney and was hired out of it. I lived in Florida and worked there for almost 2 years. I've been called to serve in the Japan, Tokyo Mission! I will be spending the next year and a half of my life dedicated to the Lord and helping to bring others unto Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. I've always been a Mormon, but I wasn't always as committed as I could have been. Right after graduating from high school my family and I were in the Hill Cumorah Pageant (a re-enactment of the Book of Mormon the members of the church put on in Palymyra, NY). I wasn't exactly thrilled to be there, but as the days went by I began to enjoy myself and I was reminded why I loved being a member of this church. As a cast member, we go out into the audience before each performance and have the oppurtunity to meet with people and share our testimonies and the gospel with them. Sometimes people weren't interested in talking to us and it was always so disapointing. That's when I really realised that I had a testimony and love of this church. I wanted to share it with everyone else because I know it could make them just as happy as I was. By the end of my pageant experience I had decided to recommitt myself to living the gospel more fully. I know, for a fact, because of that I am a happier person. When you live the teachings and principles of this church you can and will be happier. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, and watches over me. I know that he knows me personally and that he can hear and answer my prayers. I'm grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and that he died so I may be forgiven of the mistakes I make and can return back to my Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for a latter-day prophet who can give us guidance. I am also grateful for the Book of Mormon. I have read it and I know that the events and people who are in it were real. Having the gospel in my life has brought peace and given me guidance, and true happiness. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily thing. I attend church every Sunday but during the week I'm also living the gospel. It affects how I dress, what I choose to eat and drink and activities I decide to take part in. Every morning when I get dressed I choose to dress modestly. Sometimes it is hard but I still manage to look cute! I try to eat healthy. And now that I am a missionary I get to spend all day everyday sharing my faith with others!
