Hi I'm Hayden Clark

I'm a Musician, a Returned Missionary, a Student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a pre-pharmacy student and I enjoy music of all kinds. My favorite bands are Dream Theater, Haken, Rush, The Cure, a-Ha, and many many more. I also love driving around the mountains near where I live. As a student, I major in Chemistry at Southern Utah University, and I am minoring in Biology and Music as well. I have just returned from two years of service in the Australia Sydney North Mission. However, I have a unique assignment there: learn, speak, and teach in, Korean. It was a unique ride, but I can honestly say that I don't know of anywhere I would have rather been. It was a privilege to be a representative of both the Lord and his Church.

Why I am a Mormon

Life has many questions. I've learned that through the gospel and atonement of Christ, we can be saved and have the chance to return to the presence of Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that families can be together forever. I know The Book of Mormon to be a true book that has changed countless lives, including mine.

How I live my faith

I have just returned from service as a missionary for the Church. For two years, I was able to really focus on giving one-hundred percent of who I am to the Lord and teaching His gospel to those around me. It was a demanding life to live, but I can't say that I know of anything more worthwhile and rewarding than this work I had a chance to be engaged in. I've seen some pretty amazing things, and I know that this is the Lord's work. Before I served a mission, I had assignments and callings in the church that I realize have prepared me for the work that I do now. I've served as a teacher and been assigned to visit members of our congregation to keep track of their physical and emotional well-being. I've also had various unofficial service assignments. I've learned that living the gospel is far more than just what you do. It's also who you become when you live this way. I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the pathway to perfection. That's not to say that I, or any member of this church is perfect, but when we live the gospel, we will grow and learn and become so much better that we could ever be alone.

Are Mormons Christians?

Hayden Clark
Mormons believe that Christ atoned and died for our sins. We believe that he lives and that he will come again. Only through him can we be forgiven of our sins. We believe that service and charity are very important in living a Christlike life. Our Church is centered on Christ and his atonement for us. That's what it means to be a Christian to me. Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Hayden Clark
While Joseph Smith translated the record into english, the original record was written over the course of several hundred years by prophets who recieved inspiration from God. The record was eventually abridged by a man named Mormon (hence the title of the book). I know that by reading the testimonies of these prophets and other righteous men and women who are found in this book, anyone can know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. I know that this book is the Word of God. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Hayden Clark
As Jesus Christ said to his disciples: "Come and See". As a missionary, the work I did was based on "Inviting others to come unto Christ, by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End." How can you know it's true? Try it out for yourself, and see what good comes as a result. Show more Show less
