Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in a small logging town in the U.S. I have red hair, I stick out wherever I go. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Brandon, I am 18 years old, and one of my favorite things to do is play football. This is my most favorite passtime and I've been playing for as long as I can remember. I also enjoy camping, hunting and fishing; and participating (and playing) in many other sports or extreme sports, such as mountain/BMX biking and wrestling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to the Church, both of my parents and all of my Grandparents are members, so I was Baptized at age 8. When I was young I had some very special experiences, it was then that I realized this Church was where I needed to be. In High School I was diagnosed with Melanoma in my left leg. This experience was an extreme surprise and really unexpected. There were multiple doctor visits, all of which pointed to skin grafts. On the day of surgery, and after having a Priesthood blessing, I showed up to get prepped for the surgery. The Doctor looked one more time at my leg and decided then that he could pull the incision back together without any skin graft. This experience helped me to know and recognize the hand of the Lord in all things. As we live our lives according to our Savior's teachings He will send us feelings of peace and comfort; even in our most trying challenges. Within two weeks my leg was healed instead of the original recovery time of at least six weeks. I know this is the Hand of the Lord and I know that the Lord loves all of His children.

How I live my faith

Our Father in Heaven asked us to keep the Sabbath Day holy and use it to remember Him. This could be hard, especialy if you love to watch football. I told myself that I would not watch or play football or any other sports on Sundays, so that I would be able to keep the commandments and remember our Father in Heaven and the sacrifice that Jesus Christ paid for us. As I have done this I have noticed that I have better, more happy and productive weeks. When we do and follow our Heavenly Father's commandments He blesses us in all things. One of my favorite sayings is "when you put God first all other things fall into place" (I heard this in one of my religion classes but I can't remember who said it). I believe and know that this is a true saying, my experience about keeping the Sabbath Day holy proves this statement.
