Hi I'm Niah

I am a missionary in training. I am Rugby athlete. I strive to love everyone unconditionally. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary in training. I love to play Rugby and hang out with happy people. I'm a city boy, but I still love the country and the wilderness. I enjoy the company of my brothers at church, as well with everyone else in my ward. I like to go on high adventures to places I've never gone before. I enjoy training in the martial arts and kick boxing. Most of all I love to exceed limit beyond my own in both physical and spiritual aspects. I also enjoy visiting major cities with my family or friends. I love to play music, I'm a huge fan of Jazz and Blues. I believe music was created to help us convey feelings that we have that cannot simply be spoken. I also believe it is a unique and holy way to worship and praise God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I didn't really understand what babtism was when I got babtised. All I thought was that I could swim at church for a day. I think I really started understanding why I am a Mormon when I was 14 and at a Youth Conference and we were visiting Palmyra New York. We had a chance to walk through the sacred grove and see the Book of Mormon reanactment play. We had a testimony meeting after that and I didn't bear my testimony but others did and hearing their testimonies was amazing, the place was filled with the spirit, it flooded everywere and wrapped around us like a cozy blanket. It was truly a magnificent time in my life. And at another Youth Conference we had a chance to share the Gospel with some non-members and it was a blessing to do that. Afterwards we heard from one of the 12 Apostles. It was amazing. And just recently I went on a mini-mission and it gave me a full understanding of my puprose as a Mormon. Which is to love others and bring them unto Christ.

How I live my faith

I do my best everyday to keep the commandments that God has given us and act as an example to those who observe me. God wants everyone to inspire others and help our friends act righteously. I also do my absolute best to stay in only places where I can feel the peace from God's spirit. Unfortunately the spirit doesn't like high school and I have to create some kind of spiritual defense mechanism against the increasingly strong bad influences I find at high school everyday. It's hard but I do it anyway.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being Mormon is awesome. I'd be a completely different person if I wasn't one. Being a Mormon you get to have lots of fun with people at church, we have amazingly fun activities and almost all the time get free treats afterwards. But the best things are being able to serve a mission, visit the temple and get married there. Show more Show less
