Hi I'm Ruth

I love to play soccer. I like to hike. I enjoy singing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a tiny town in New Hampshire. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters and we were the only Latter Day Saints that attended our high school. My high school was very small, we didn't even have a football team. Most people would say that because of its size, students couldn't get a quality education because of the lack of money, classes, teachers, clubs, athletics, etc...I believe I had a quality education despite these obstacles because I got to do it all. I got to be an athlete and a scholar. I got to be a musician and an actor. I learned to love people who I probably wouldn't have even met in other situations. I love my small town upbringing, I wouldn't have it any other way. After high school, I attended Southern Utah University with my best friend. I learned that I have a desire to learn about nutrition of all sorts. I still do not know what my long term goal is, but I love learning about food and the effects different vitamins and minerals can have almost as much as I like eating! In my spare time, I love to explore. I want to try everything at least once, even if it's just to say "I did that". Some of my bucket list adventures include; hiking the Grand Canyon rim to rim, exploring Yellowstone National Park, sky diving, touring Europe, going to Harry Potter World, running a full marathon and sea kayaking.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it makes me happy to know that I am a daughter of God. My faith fills me with hope that I can have an eternal family and live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I love my church family! Growing up, I was part of a small LDS branch. I really learned how to depend on others, delegate, be responsible, participate, and lead. I had a lot of really great teachers and leaders that helped me to become the person I am today. The greatest teacher I know of though, is the Holy Ghost. I live my faith by striving daily to invite the Spirit into my life to uplift and teach me. I live my faith today by "trying to be like Jesus". I try to be a righteous example by choosing the right, by obeying the commandments, and by following the Prophet. I am thrilled to share my love and testimony of our Heavenly Father and His gospel with the people of Anaheim California, which is where I have been called to serve a mission! I look forward to serving this mission in May of 2013.
