Hi I'm Adriana Escobar

I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi, my name is Adriana, I will be serving the Manaus Mission in Brazil as soon as I get my Visa in! I have completed a year and a half of college studying Biochemestry, when I come back I hope to either finish or perhaps get into engineering. I love the outdoors and enjoy exploring the city I live in. I love music whether it's listening, singing, or playing some guitar. I enjoy art and painting as well. I just love being inspired either artistically or spiritually.

Why I am a Mormon

My father grew up in the church, and my mother is a convert and made the decision to be baptized at the age of 16. With that being said, I grew up in the church with my older brother and two little sister. The ward we attended was a Spanish- speaking ward, Spanish was our first language but as I got older we spoke less of it in the home. Therefore, by the time I turned 8, (the age to decide to become a member) I forgot a lot of my Spanish, but we were still attending the Spansh ward. I honestly can say that most of the time I did not know what the primary songs meant when I sang them, or what the scriptures really meant when I was asked to read them. However, sitting with all the other kids singing songs about family, love, and Jesus Christ I always felt peace and happy singing them even though I didn't really understand half of the song. When I read the scriptures I knew that what I was reading had to be something really important if they were written so long ago whenever I saw the dates on the headings. Because of the love I felt from the members of the ward, my primary teachers, and sitting in Sacrament with my family, I knew that this love wasn't something magical, I knew it came from God, and at a young age I understood that he loves me and knows who I am, because I always missed Him and I felt in my heart a warm feeling that I knew Him. I am so blessed and glad to know that I am apart of Christ's true church on the earth. I have been through many trials of lossed ones and to know that there is a plan of salvation, to know that families can be together forever, has saved me from a downward spiral of depression I could have gone through. I know that it's cliche but I honestly don't know who I'd be without this church, because not having the knowledge of knowing that I am a daughter of God, that Jesus Christ died for me, and other aspects of the gospel, I'd be lost and lonely.

How I live my faith

As a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I try my best to testify the eternal truths of the gospel and bring people unto Christ. Having been baptized by the proper authority (power/permission) of Jesus Chist, I can personally share my testimony of the truths I know, and state that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ that has been restored from the times of old where it all began. With this being said I want to be part of this marvelous work and share that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father after this life and have eternal happiness by choosing to be baptized by the proper authority and partaking of His plan.
