Hi I'm Aaron Gonzalez

I have A.D.D. and I'm a basketball player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing basketball. I have played at the collegiate level and i hope to continue after serving a full time proselyting mission. Since I have ADD I love having inside jokes with all my friends, especially in epic places like classrooms or auditoriums to mae a fool of myself cause I like to see people laugh and walk away with a smile at my expense. I am the youngest of 3 kids with 2 older sisters who are totally my role models in life.... and I totally aspire to learn how to play the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I first decided to become a "Mormon," when I was 13. When i first learned about the gospel I kinda went along for the ride with my parents as they decided to be baptized in the latter day saint faith. I remember seeing my father make huge changes in his life, with stopping the use of alcohol and tobbacco. I thought if the gospel could change him, then it must be true. Later I found that living off of my fathers testimony wasnt strong enough to keep me grounded in my beliefs. I didnt stop believing in the church but I dropped it as a priority in my life and as a result fell away in the months that followed my 16 birthday. The turning point for me was not out of the ordinary or an magnificent moment but a sequence of events by saying my nightly prayers and asking Heavenly Father in my nightly prayers if I should serve a mission. I remember feeling the burning in my heart that was too unique to deny, God had answered my paryers every single night as i kneeled to seek him out. I know that God is there for us and he will help us as we ask him to step in and give us strength and direction. As a result I have aquired other testimonies of gospel principles through the same process of studying them out and praying about them. Now i look foward to a long life with an awesome family and serving a fulltime mission with my wife in the future. (^-^)

How I live my faith

I am a convert to the church, I am thnakful for the two missionaries who brought the gosepl to my door, literally. The Gospel has truly brought happiness to my life by helping my family grow closer together and also learning how to depend on Jesus Christ. There was a time in my life when i felt that i didnt need the gospel and after a few months i stopped going to church. After a while i felt the weight of the emptiness from the things i was doing and i missed the stability the gospel had brought to me. I remember coming home from college for Christmas break and deciding to truly find out if the PLan Of Salvation was true after i ahd lost a friend on Christmas day. I remember everyone around me telling to read the scriptures and ask God for help and understanding and he would find me in the sciptures. I remember reading 2 Nephi 9:10 which said "O how great the goodness of our God who prepareth a way for our escape from the grasp of..Death." I knew that god answered my question and prayers, through the comfort i felt from that one scripture and coming to recognize the Holy Ghost. From that point on I have made it a goal in my life to always live my life according to his will and standards to recieve that grace that he has for all his children. I now have the opportunity to spread the same message that missionaries shared with me years ago in Los Angeles, CA and made tons of awesome friends while doing it.
