Hi I'm Mandi

I'm an identical twin, I was a preemie baby, I served in the Honduras Comayaguela Mission, I study Nursing, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Health Science major with an emphasis in Public Relations, hoping to get into Nursing after my mission. I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Med Tech and absolutely love it! I love any opportunity I have to serve the youth and elderly, to be able to see them as Christ see's them. I love to run, hike, play tennis, sing, just be outdoors and try new things! I grew up #4 in a family of seven kids and three minutes older than my twin sister. I'm so excited to be able to fulfill one of my biggest desires in life and serve an 18-month mission in Comayaguela, Honduras, while being able to learn and speak the language of my heart, Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the way the gospel has changed my life and the lives of others around me. I grew up a member of the church, but it wasn't until I got to high school that I really made the decision to live what I believe. In high school, everyone knew who the Mormon's were. My Sophomore year, I was in a Spanish class with this boy who always made fun of me for being a Latter-Day Saint. Instead of being mad and hating him, one day I decided I want to befriend him. So I gave him a Book of Mormon with my testimony written on the inside cover and told him the reason why I believe what I do. After that, he opened up to me and I got to witness this hurting, confused boy that he was inside. He took missionary discussions, but ended up relapsing back into old habits. The point is, that for a period of time I was able to look past all of the rudeness, answer to his struggling soul, and see him change in ways no drug or behavior program could like Christ did for him. He is now like a brother to me. After that experience, missionary work became a huge part of my teenage life. It's not the fact that many of my non-member friends got baptized, but I got to see them change their lives in ways that only the true, restored gospel of Christ can bring. This is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is His true gospel, restored in its fullness to us today by the prophet Joseph Smith. I have found a happiness unlike any other found on this earth through His gospel and it's teachings. It has brought me the most comfort, peace, preparation, and knowledge to my purpose in life and why I am here. It has kept me safe and because of the Priesthood, alive. Our Heavenly Father loves us so unconditionally! He loves us so much that He gave His only Begotten Son, He guides us with the Spirit and a modern prophet today, and through the Savior's plan of Salvation, has allowed us a pathway for us to return to live with Him again and our families.

How I live my faith

I live my faith purely by serving and teaching as a member missionary. Through the way I live, I am able to show what I believe to the world.
