Hi I'm Spencer

I grew up in the great State of Texas. Raised in a wonderful family. I'm proud to say I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student here in Utah. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time exploring all that Utah has to offer. I love to go on hikes and see the beautiful view from atop a mountain. I also enjoy mountain biking and the rush that comes from flying down a forest trail. I find myself involved in all types of sports and any activity which involves a ball! I also greatly enjoy music, and creating music through the cello, which I have been playing for nearly seven years now.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church is not simply something I do because the doctrines make sense to me. Although this is true, I am a Mormon because as I have felt the Holy Spirit of Christ as I participate in activities of the church. As I attend church meetings and listen to important doctrine I have felt this spirit testify to me that what I am being taught is true. I can witness that these confirmations I have felt are not one-time occurrences, but happen even daily as I read the scriptures and pray to my Father in Heaven. I do not trust whole heartedly in the words I have read and heard, but more the feelings I have felt in my heart. This Church is true, and I know it is as I have sincerely pondered on its teachings and principles, and have felt the spirit witness to me of its truthfulness.

How I live my faith

I see myself living my faith in small, day to day interactions with the people around me. Yes, I am greatly uplifted by attending my Sunday meetings, but I feel that I truly live my faith by the service I render to others. I try to compliment those around me, tell them how much I appreciate them and build them up. I try to be a selfless friend who is there for you, even when it's inconvenient for me. I earnestly seek those who need a helping hand or an ear to listen. In short, I try to love the people around me with a positive, helpful attitude as I envision the savior would.
