Hi I'm David

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah and have lived there my whole life. I have studied music much of my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My main hobby is music. I studied piano seriously for about 11 years and continue to play for fun. I also studied for 4 years on the tenor saxophone and 5 years on the clarinet. I have enjoyed playing the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band at my high school.. This year, another one of my hobbies has become rugby. I decided to play my first season of rugby this spring on a team that my best friend started last year. I was just called to serve a mission in Ghana, after which, I plan to attend college and pursue a degree in physics or engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church, so I have had the amazing opportunity to grow up in the gospel. As I have gotten older, I have developed a strong testimony that has helped me stay strong, and continue in the church. I know that this gospel is true; that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and through him the church was restored in the latter days. I know that the priesthood was restored through Peter, James, and John to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery. I know that I am a son of our Heavenly Father; He knows me, He loves me, and I have the opportunity to receive His priesthood and serve Him and His children on this earth. I know that my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the son of God; He came to this earth, walked among men working miracles, and he suffered and died for me so that I may be clean. I know that through the atonement of our Savior, we are given the opportunity to repent, be forgiven, and live with our Father again, receiving the greatest of all blessings- eternal life. I am so grateful for the gospel and hope that I may share the joy that it has brought me. It is amazing to see the hand of God working in the lives of His children.

How I live my faith

I have been LDS my entire life and have had the opportunity to serve in my ward. I have served as a pianist, a chorister, a secretary, and am currently serving as an assistant to the bishop. Soon, I will be in Ghana serving as a missionary, teaching the gospel. I have always enjoyed serving, learning, and hanging out with the other young men in my neighbor through church, mutual, scouts, and other church activities.
